Daniel Fetecua Soto

Daniel Fetecua Soto, a native of Bogota, Columbia, graduated with a BFA from Folkwang-Hochschule and appeared many times as a guest artist with the Pina Bausch Company. He has been a principal dancer with the José Limón Dance Company since 2006. Daniel is the founder and artistic director of Pajarillo Pinta'o, a dance company based in New York City and Germany that merges Colombian Folklore with modern dance. As a guest choreographer with ID Studio Theater (NYC), he was commissioned to create new works for Dancing in the Streets funded by the Harlem Stage Fund for new works. His choreography has recently been presented at the Theater for the New City, NYC, at Alltenheim 2009, Dormunt, Germany, and the Festival CaliCanto+Cali Cuento, Barcelona Spain.
