
Lonnie Stanton was born and raised in Paradise, California. While there, she began dancing with the Northern California Ballet. She graduated from the Boston Conservatory Magna Cum Laude in May 2009 with a BFA in Dance. Upon graduation, Lonnie performed with Prometheus Dance for 5 seasons and has had the pleasure of touring and teaching with them both domestically and internationally. She has also worked with Boston-based Ballet Rox, Angie Moon Dance Theatre, Zoe Dance, BOSOMA, Echo Contemporary Dance, and independent choreographer Olivier Besson. She has recently worked on dance film's directed by Tamara Al-Mashouk and Anna Reyes and was featured in a creative virtual add for Neoscape. Having worked with many different choreographers and processes, her interest in improvisation as a tool for choreography has become a new focus of exploration. Her choreography has been produced in Cambridge at the Dance Complex Shared Choreographers' Concert and featured in a music video for Boston based, Moe Pope. Lonnie completed her 200 hour yoga certification under Natasha Rizopoulos of Yogaworks. She currently enjoys teaching at the Brookline Ballet and the Salvation Army Kroc Center. Lonnie is pleased to have the opportunity to work with fellow NADINE Project members and the project's incredible mentors, Libby Nye and Janet Mansfield Soares.
